Change Ourselves, Change the World

“If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. ... We need not wait to see what others do.”
- Mahatma Gandhi

Judea Weekly eNews: March Newsletter is waiting for you!

Friends,

You will find the March issue of the Judea Journal - our monthly newsletter - now available by clicking HERE.  Past issues can be found in our archive.

This Sunday afternoon, we will host Anne-Marie's Ecclesiastical Council, where she will be reviewed for ordination by a group of clergy and lay members of our Litchfield South Association, a regional organization of the CT United Church of Christ.  See the invitation from Anne-Marie in the side bar for more details.

The special Lenten sermon series on Love continues this (Communion) Sunday with, "Love One Another."  The weekly personal practice, "A Meditation for Reaching Out in Love,"  will be printed on the back of the bulletin but also can be found on the page of Love in our Faith Practices.  This practice guides you through a pleasant imaginative meditation to help you to move into loving those who may not be so easy to love.  For more on the season of Lent and ideas for making the most of this season,  read Pastor Cheryl's bog entry entitled, "Love and Ashes."   Or catch up on some of the previously published personal practices.

There are lots of other interesting things going on around here, too!  Read the Judea Journal for a selection of the most current events and activities.  In it, you will also find a form for ordering your Easter memorials to be included in the Easter Sunday bulletin.  Order forms are also available in the Sunday bulletins.

Blessings,

Karen Esslinger
