Weekly Judea eNews - Easter Preparations

Friends,

We are in the midst of Holy Week!  Today is Maundy Thursday and our special Tennebrae service will be held at 7:30 pm this evening.  Are you planning to come?  There will be choir singing/ leading chant and Mary Costanza will complement the service with her moving cello music.  There will be twelve readers as the sanctuary is progressively darkened.  Contemplative, moving.  Prepare yourself for the coming light of Easter.  Join us this evening!

And on Easter Sunday there is a choice of two services to celebrate the resurrection of Christ:  6:30 am outdoors on New Preston Hill or 10 am in the Meeting House.  Pastor Cheryl will lead both.  Our deacons will be hosting refreshments after the 10 am service while our Youth Group leads the little ones in an Easter Egg Hunt on the Green!  If you'd like to help by contributing finger foods for refreshments, contact Wayne Hileman and plan to leave your goodies on the table in the church hall before the service.

Did you know our church is celebrating its 275th anniversary this year?  Lots of fun and interesting events and activities are percolating.  Stay tuned for more information or contact the church office if you'd like to get involved.

Coffee hours are full through April, thanks to the volunteers who signed up at the quarterly meeting last Sunday.  Robbie Oxnard would like to partner with someone and host soon.  Please contact her or the church office if you'd llike to work with her on that.

There are more announcements on the right and on our Home page.  Be sure to read them all as there are lots of new events on the horizon!

Happy Easter!
