This Sunday, join us as we go deeper into the exploration of Love with a service that is chock full of elements to help you to cultivate more Love in your life. The love song "standards" offered by Trish Grinnell and Art Peterson will set a tone of love and appreciation as you listen to their beautiful music. And the prayers and sermon on Love and Appreciation from Pastor Cheryl will help you to identify useful and relevant ways to bring more of this spiritual practice and good feeling into your life. The weekly personal practice, "A Book of Positive Aspects," that corresponds with her sermon will be printed on the back of the bulletin but also can be found on the page of Love in our Faith Practices.
For more on the season of Lent and ideas for making the most of this season, read Pastor Cheryl's bog entry entitled, "Love and Ashes."
Speaking of acts of love, the new Comfort Shawl Project will be commissioned and blessed this Sunday during Joys and Concerns. If you want to know more about this, read the announcement on the right or go to the website page with the full writeup.
Please take note that we will be again having an Easter Egg Hunt with the public invited so we are going to need LOTS of eggs stuffed with goodies. I hear there are plenty of eggs so we are mostly entertaining donations of filler: candy, little toy surprises, etc. The Youth Group will be stuffing the eggs at their monthly meeting on February 28 so donations are needed before that date so we know what we have to work with. You may drop them off in the church office or at the Sunday service.
There are more announcements on the right and on our Home page. Though new material is added to our site weekly, a (mostly) full set of important information about our life together as a church this month is available on our website in the February monthly Judea Journal.
Do everything with Love.
