The Green Fair last Saturday was another wonderful success with great attendance, lots of fun and food and good stuff changing hands.  Photos from the day are available in our website photo gallery.

Part 2 of the Green Fair will happen this Saturday, from 9 am to noon as we hold our now traditional second Saturday sale.  With hall still full of small items and two rooms full of furniture, there will be deals to be had.  The sale is being publicised on various tag sale listings but do spread the word.  We'd love to sell out.  Knowing that there will likely be at least some stuff leftover, we have arranged for a veterans' organization to coming on Monday to take away all that is boxed and can be loaded into the truck by their driver.  So we will need to have all of the leftovers boxed up before Monday.  If you are available on Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon, please come and lend a hand.  Many people make light work of things.  Help is also be needed for Saturday morning to staff the sale beginning at 8 am.  If neither of those days is available for you, we can also use help organizing the items in Wersebe Hall today and Friday.  Just stop by.  The building will be open until about 7:30 pm.

This week begins our faith practice of Playing and Living Joyfully.  Ellen Willert will be preaching again and has a great service planned.  She tells me somehow she will be making a connection with the latest news that our church is now a Poke Stop in the wildly popular game, PokemonGo.  We hope you can join us!

Actually, we had a sneak preview of this new topic last Sunday when we had a little picnic on the Green with Johnson Wu and his Chinese English students who are visiting.  Abby Gorra led some of our kids and our guests in a rousing game of "Chicken."  It was a blast and I am quite sure that game will find its' way back to China!

People may be going here and there on vacation these days but there are still some things going on so check out the announcements on our home page and on the list to the right.  And if you missed it, the summer issue of the Judea Journal is also available on our website resources pages, giving you a heads up on all the upcoming activities, inspirational stuff, and even things to look forward to in September!  (Hint... don't forget the water!!)
