Judea Weekly eNews for April 7 - Holy Week begins this Sunday

There is some important logistical information for this Palm Sunday, April 9, as well as some other opportunities to get involved with your church that we'd like you to know about.  Read on...

First of all, on Sunday, join us for a special Palm Sunday celebration with St. John's Church parishoners (and possibly other churches in town) to bless palms right before our service.  This will happen on the Green the side of the church closest to St. John's church.  After this brief blessing, we will process over to the Parish House to continue our Palm Sunday service.  Those with mobility challenges may find it easier to go directly to the hall and take a seat.

After the worship service, during coffee hour and while the teens are in either Teen Talk or Confirmation Class, we need some volunteers to help us stuff plastic Easter Eggs with all sorts of goodies that have been collected.  A table or two will be set up with all of the supplies.  Grab a snack, beverage and pull up a chair.   It's like a mini party and you needn't go anywhere else to enjoy it!

If you missed our quarterly meeting last Sunday, you should know that the new Open and Affirming statement was proposed and a copy of the text is available in our April Judea Journal.  Please take the time to review and speak with any of our deacons if you have any questions or changes you would like to be considered.  Then come for final discussion and vote at our Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 25 at 11 am.

Holy Week schedule

Hope to see you on Sunday!
