Guidelines for Gathering Together

We are currently meeting for worship virtually and in-person on the Green (weather permitting).

When can we gather together in the Meeting Houe again for worship?

When the infection numbers consistently

With the numbers of people getting vaccinated in Connecticut growing every day, these infection numbers could go down soon, but with variants of the virus making headway, it’s just not that predictable. And so we will move forward in the way that won’t exclude anyone, that gives us the most options for worship, and that makes sure we all stay safe, which is meeting on the Green and virtually.

When we do meet in person in the Meeting House, we will follow these guidelines:

  • There will be no congregational singing and no spoken responses
  • Family units will sit at least 6 feet apart in open pews. Other pews will be taped off.
  • Masks are required
  • Temperatures will be taken upon arrival
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance
  • Everyone will need to be signed in by an usher (to have a record in case contact tracing is necessary)
  • Everyone will enter through the east door (the Parish House side) and exit through the west door. Aisles will be marked one way only.
  • Communion will either be bring-your-own or symbolic
  • Offering containers will be set up in the back of the Meeting House
  • Any vocal or wind instrument music will be provided via pre-recording only
  • Joys and concerns should be emailed to Pastor Robyn by noon on the Saturday before service (or told to the usher up on signing in)
  • No coffee hour
  • In-person services will always be simultaneously streamed to Zoom

Our goal with all of this is to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Pastor Robyn or Trish Grinnell.
